The Best Dallas Coffee Shops

Are you wondering what are the best coffee shops in Dallas? We did some taste tasting to come up with our favorite Dallas coffee shops.

1) Ascension Coffee

This Design District café has focuses on their own roasts, while having a few national roasters on hand at any given time.

2) Crooked Tree Coffeehouse

Tucked in a row of houses on Routh Street in Uptown, Crooked Tree is an unassuming neighborhood shop that can easily get overlooked if you’re not careful. But they’re quietly bringing out all the beautiful flavors in Oak Cliff Coffee’s roasts.

3) State Street Coffee @ The Alcove

This Uptown staple is known for their Nitro ColdBrew coffee! They also use the same ultra-fancy Synesso Hydra espresso machine as Ascension Coffee. Also note that they have spefic hours and close at 3PM most days. And make sure to stop by for a yummy muffin or breakfast taco from Taco Deli.

4) Local Press + Brew

This health-conscious coffee shop has two locations: one in Oak Cliff and the other in Victory Park. Along with standard espresso drinks and cold brew, Local Press is a juice bar specializing in cold-pressed juices with ingredients like activated charcoal, raw sugar cane juice and fresh ginger. And make sure to try their made in-house nut milks, which makes this shop ideal for coffee lovers who aren’t into dairy. In addition, their nut-shaken lattes, made with espresso and nut milk, can be mixed up with fresh almond, cacao or coconut milk.

5) Oak Lawn Coffee

They stock local favorites from Oak Cliff Coffee and Tweed Coffee Roasters as well as bringing in Portland’s Heart Coffee Roasters. Oak Lawn keeps their offerings fresh by rotating in different espressos daily from these three roasters.

6) Method Coffee

Located just East of Downtown, Method has a very neighborhood shop vibe; it’s small but cool and relaxed. And they make a pretty mean espresso thanks to their Slayer espresso machine.

7) Houndstooth Coffee

Houndstooth is located on Henderson close to Lower Greenville. This Austin transplant is anchored by their roasting arm Tweed Coffee Roasters, and is one of the best places to get coffee in all of Dallas.

8) Commissionary

Commissionary is the newest coffee shop on the list, having opened just a few months ago in Downtown. It is not only a coffee shop, but also a butcher shop, bakery, and fresh market all in one. We highly reccomend stopping in for lunch, you simply can’t go wrong! Furthermore their eyecatching blue tiled walls/floors can be found allover Instagram.
